Welcome to the Friends of the Parma Public Library Website!
The Friends of the Parma Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, voluntary auxiliary organization that raises funds to help the Parma Public Library offer a multitude of programs and activities for our community such as:
- Reading programs for adults, teens, and children
- Visiting artists like the Wegmans Zoomobile, Moreland The Magician, and Defiant Monkey
- A Passion to Paint
- V.I.P. passes for museums in Monroe county
- Tea with local authors
- And much, much more
We strive to serve as a liaison between the community and the library. Our typical activities include operating the used book store Mainly Books, the spring and fall book sales held at the library, and working with Hilton Parma Recreation to run the Community Flea Market.
We are always in need of friendly volunteers who like to work with the public. In addition to individual volunteers, some of the groups we have worked with include the Boy Scouts, the Hilton Fire Department Explorers, and high school students looking to fulfill community service requirements.
As of summer 2017, working with Daniel Richardson on his Eagle Scout Project, we became the stewards of two Little Free Libraries located at the Village of Hilton Public Works (59 Henry St) and the marina at the Braddock Bay Tavern and Grill (372 Manitou Rd).

We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 PM in the meeting room at the library. All members are welcome to attend.
